Lots to love, and laugh about at Castlepalooza 2017.
Castlepalooza is back with a bang, with the first acts on this year’s bill announced! Girl Band, Wild Beasts, Waze & Odyssey, David Kitt, Shit Robot, Deirdre O’Kane, Kevin McGahern, PJ Gallagher and Colm O’Regan will all be part of an absolutely stellar line-up this year.
And with the addition of Le Boom, Cinema and Hvmmingbyrd, plus lots more incredible music acts and hilarious comedians, we can’t wait.
Here’s more about who you’ll be able to check out on stage, and in the Vodafone Laughter Lab on this unique and special weekend:
Must see music acts:
Girl Band (Irish festival exclusive 2017): This Dublin born four piece has already earned an international audience and is famous for their loud, intense and energetic live performances.
Wild Beasts: This out there UK indie act will be unleashing their inner animal at Castlepalooza 2017, after a string of acclaimed albums including 2009’s Mercury nominated Two Dancers and last year’s Boy King.
Waze & Odyssey Top producers and DJs, Serge Santiago and Firas Waez have developed a worldwide reputation for their sound, which brings together house music, techno, disco influences plus UK bass music. It’s a show not to be missed.
David Kitt: This multi-talented Irish musician/producer has been wowing audiences for decades with genre shifting sounds; starting with his quietly magnetic 2001 debut Small Moments, through to more expansive efforts, and his latest release Yous.
Shit Robot: Since his debut release From The Cradle To The Rave in late 2010, which guest starred James Murphy, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and Nancy Whang – Shit Robot has lit up clubs and festivals the world over. With more releases promised 2017, this could well be the place to be.
Of course, there are many more acts to get excited about including the gorgeously textured sounds of I Have a Tribe, Dublin indie rock outfit Heroes in Hiding, post-punk disco act King Bones and everyone’s favourite house party in a club venue – Luno Club. Keep an eye on this site as more acts get added.
