4 Questions with… Aoife Dooley & Emma Doran
With just one day to go until the Vodafone Comedy Festival 2017 kicks off at the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin, we caught up with some of the comedians who are due to perform to ask them a couple of questions, get to know Aoife Dooley the mastermind behind ‘Dublin Hun’ and Emma Doran queen of viral videos a bit better before they take to the stage.
1. If you could be in any other comedian’s head for a day who would you choose and why?
Aoife: Probably Limmy (Brian Limond) because he’s a mad yoke. That’s a hard one!
Emma: Julie Jay. I think as my civic duty. Just to go in and do a big spring clean. It’s a mess in there.
2. What is the one thing you’d never go to a comedy festival without?
Aoife: My notebook with notes for my set, a sketch book too for when I’m hanging about. I have a lucky rock as well so that will be with me in my pocket.
Emma: My Dictaphone.
3. If you weren’t a comedian what would you be?
Aoife: I also work as an illustrator and write and illustrate books but if I wasn’t doing either then I’d love to be a dance instructor, like R&B or break dancing. (says the least fit person ever).
Emma: A barrister.
4. The act you’re most looking forward to seeing at this year’s Vodafone Comedy Festival that people may not have heard of.
Aoife: Looking forward to seeing Chris Redd and TJ Miller (Although I think they’re pretty well known)
Emma: Anna Clifford
